Well, I have now been a SparkPeople member for 2 weeks and have been doing cardio every day. I haven't noticed any great improvement in my body in that time, but what I have noticed is what a good mood I'm in. I don't think of myself as a naturally bubbly person, but I have noticed a big change in the number of times I laugh recently. And I have also noticed how much better I am at handling stress. I found the first two weeks moderately stressful, as I had to make time to track what I eat, plan meals, do exercise, and (Canadian) Thanksgiving fell in there, too. But I didn't react the same way I usually do (stressed-out and cranky), but was able to maintain my calm and laugh it off.
And, I am noticing that I have more energy. Two weeks ago all I could do after coming home from work and making dinner was sit on the couch and stare at the TV. The last few days I have much more energy and enthusiasm to get up and do something around the house or pursue a hobby.
These changes are so positive, that I am making a point of noting them down. Right now I feel that I will always want to exercise, but I know that eventually I will hit a point where it will be a challenge to get on that treadmill. Hopefully this note will remind me that my body needs exercise to function at its best.
