It's been bully week

Sunday, February 14, 2010

I have found that much of my energy this week has been directed to dealing with two bullies. I'm not in the clear from them, but I keep addressing it with logic. My physical reaction includes a lot of shaking and mental preoccupation.

This week I didn't do any intentional exercise to speak of emoticon I just lived the week. No damage has been done on the scale, but I find that I get more done when I workout in the mornings. I know that it helps deal with the bullies too. I refused to check my email today until I had done some pilates. The Olympics are here and that helps to feed the inner athlete.

This was supposed to be yoga week, so I think I will treat myself with more effort next week to mix yoga and other exercise. My plan is to get to bed effectively (because that makes a BIG difference) and then stay up when I get my daughter up at 5 a.m. (We all have Monday off, wheeee) There's about 20 minutes or so for emoticon emoticon before heading out to the bus. Then there is at least 30 minutes for emoticon emoticon emoticon on most days. So, I'm re-enlisting because the pay-off of doing the work is substantial for the rest of the day.

Apollo Ohno's attitude towards training was to ask himself at night if he has done everything he could to be his best that day --- oh man, I'd better get busy!
