Trying to Get Back On Track

Friday, February 19, 2010

I have been stuck for about a month bouncing between 249 and 254 pounds. I keep messing up after I get on track. My big problem, which I notice a lot of other Sparkers also have, is getting hungry after dinner. I need to shift my meals to later in the day and maybe have four meals instead of three. I need to get back to walking outside...if the ice would just melt off the neighborhood path system. Until it does, I need to get on my treadmill. I was doing so well after my retirement. I lost 40 pounds, but now I have stagnated. There is a silver lining however. So far, I have been able to halt the backsliding so that I'm staying within five pounds of my current low. I keep working on earning spark points and recording my meals (mostly) so I feel I have a chance to get it going again as long as I don't give up.

I do feel some stress over my upcoming biopsy. I'm not sure how well I will cope if I find I have prostrate cancer. I'm hoping everything will work out ok.

Good job on maintaining. Have some healthy low calorie snacks before bed. Like fruit or rice cakes or 90-100 calorie snacks:) Good luck on the snacking.

Good job on maintaing your weight until you'e able to break through the plateau. I like to eat in the evenings too, but find if I eat dinner at 6:30PM, I'm able to get through the rest of the evening without snacking.

Good luck on your biopsy -- I hope all goes well for you.
