Praise the Lord - Couple of Prayers Answered

Friday, February 26, 2010

1. DH has had his cpap for a month and is doing great. He's actually lost some weight (and he's not trying....just sleeping 5 hours a night!). His attitude is terrific and he can drive again! Of course, now that he's back to regular David, he's back to driving me crazy. emoticon I knew the lack of sleep was taking a huge toll on him, but I hadn't realized just how much. Now he's back to normal.

2. My sister-in-law has been undergoing tests because of a high fever, elevated bp, and joint pain that came on a few weeks ago. Today her doctor called and said she believes s-in-l has Epstein-Barr Virus. This is great news. We've been afraid the results would say Lupus or cancer. EBV is related to and can progress from mono, which s-in-l had back in high school. She's in her mid-30's and this can be taken care of -- we are so happy.

3. Saints won the Super Bowl. Sorry, couldn't resist. Had a client in our office today who met with one of our CPAs (I do investments, not taxes). Vern caught me in the lobby and asked if my head was still in the clouds. I couldn't believe he remembered that I'm a Saints fan and told him so. His response to me was: Have you seen your office? LOL, yes I do have a few fleur de lis items on my credenza, my bookcase, screensaver. Oh, and the autographed picture of a past QB. And the helmet. Maybe that was it.

So glad to hear the good news about your husband and sister in law. It's pretty tough to struggle with a medical problem in the family that doesn't ever seem resolved. It sounds like now you are getting some answers and making progress!

I am glad that your husband is back to normal (even of he is driving you crazy).

Glad to hear that your sister-in-law may have Epstein-Barr (treatable) instead of cancer or lupus. They iriginally thought I had EB but mine didn't get better and then I got the MS diagnosis so I am glad that your SIL is going to be ok.

i'm so glad your husband is back to normal, even if he is driving you crazy. it's amazing what lack of sleep can do to us. it's wonderful news that your sister in law's illness is treatable. isn't God great, there's nothing like answered prayers. my mother in law went to get a stint in her heart today, then they found out she has such a smll blockage after all that it didn't even require a stint. and last week my mom went for her yearly cancer check up (survivor of colon cancer) and she is now 10 years cancer free !!!!!

saints fan.... i wonder how he ever guessed it ???? i know how you feel. we are just as fanatical here in alabama over our crimson tide winning the national championship !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! emoticon
