Well, it's a Start!

Tuesday, March 16, 2010

Today turned out pretty well! I weighed myself as a follow up to yesterday's train wreck. 224.6 ^_^ So not as bad as it appeared. I'm really tired tonight, so it'll be a short one.

I filled out a bunch of apps online, sent e-mails I had been thinking about for awhile. I got more on top of the cleaning, plus I cooked the turkey bacon, made blueberry muffins, and baked five mini loafs of banana bread. Whew! I went on a long walk with Ali and her dog Widge (technically Widget) at Antrim Park. I got to talk about my whole job search frustrations, and halfway through our walk, Ali told me she couldn't do the rowing program with me this summer. Why????? She's pregnant!!!!! Her and her husband Kevin had been trying for about five months, and it finally happened!! She told me her first thought (after omg of course) was that she wouldn't be able to row with me, lol. After out long walk, I stopped in to talk with Kori, came home cleaned more, finished laundry, then went out and had a drink with Nick after work with his boss, and well, now here I am and it's bloody 11:30! This whole daylight savings thing is not working so well for me yet, blah! I didn't get my run in *again* but that's mostly because of the walk at this point. I did however eat within my calorie range and got all my water in, WooHoo!!!!So, I'm seriously tired now, but here's to a pretty good day!

emoticon Great job getting your water intake and going for a walk with your friend. Congratulations to her! Based on the e-mail you sent, I assume you're following through with your rowing? It'll be a chance to get to know more people who have that sport in common with you :) Yay for new friendships?

I'm glad you got outside and enjoyed the weather! You may not have gotten your run in but I'm sure the walk still felt great.

It's funny, I've barely noticed daylight savings time. I'm lucky this time, I guess.

I've been wanting to make banana bread lately! I have a recipe for chocolate hazelnut banana bread that is delicious.
