Sunday To Dos and Seder Meal
Sunday, March 28, 2010
My to do list today is really short.
Laundry (at least two loads)
Hide my gray hair
Work on mending
Walk with the small furry one
Be at the church by 2:30 p.m.
I've already walked 45 minutes with Jolie. Just have to manage the hot water heater timing so I don't end up in a cold shower.
Our church's annual Seder Meal is this afternoon. There will be tons of people there and it's always a lot of fun. Such a great time to get to see people who attend a different mass from us. I just have to be careful to avoid one side of the Family Center as that is where all the potluck desserts will be. Some of those older ladies make the most wonderful things. I have the same problem when we go to Family Night at the Knights Hall. And I don't even have a sweet tooth. Something about creations from scratch that come from someone's kitchen and are made with love and pride. I always sneak in my store-bought cake or make someone else carry it.
I do have to be sure DH and I eat something before we go to the church. The Mens' Club is providing a spaghetti supper. Last year they apparently didn't agree on who was in charge of the sauce and it ended up with way too much salt. There was a lot of finger pointing!
Bless their hearts. Maybe they shouldn't start on the red wine until the actual meal begins!
Anyway, everyone have a blessed Palm Sunday. This is the beginning of a very special week.
