Monday started off yucky but turned out pretty good

Woke up this morning with a headache -- one too many glasses of red wine last night. I know better, but we got to visiting with friends and I got carried away. And, since I had worked half a day on Saturday, I really felt like I had been cheated out of a weekend. But I got to work early enough to get some of the office gossip before cranking up the computer.

That was the first hurdle. The second one was trying to prioritize my workload for the day. And then the boss man came in and doubled it. Talk about overwhelmed. But I did something good for myself and took a walk after I ate my fat-free chicken chili. It was a beautiful day today. I think it got to 73 and not a cloud in the sky. I only walked for about 10 minutes but it helped me focus for the rest of the afternoon. Which was good since I didn't leave the office until 7 pm, but at least I feel like the stack will be a little more manageable when I arrive tomorrow (sans the headache).

When I got home I was greeted with a very enthusiastic small furry one. I had only planned on taking her out for 10 minutes but that Spark adage came true: once you get started it's easier to keep going. We actually stayed out for over a mile and had to come back home because it was getting dark. So, on a day that I was convinced I wouldn't get my steps in and that I was too tired to get any exercise, I've already got 9000 steps and 30 minutes. And I haven't taken the white wonder out for her night potty yet. Speaking of which....

Woot that was a nice 9,000 step excursion. Between watching movies all night and drinking your wine I would say your more of a late night person, glad your semi hangover didn’t last too long. These white fury creatures of ours sure can keep us inline.

Great job! It's very true that the hardest part to a workout (or even a walk) is just getting up out of the chair! (Which is where I'm at right now.) Thanks for the inspiration! I might even go find my Turbo Jam dvd since it's storming and raining and hailing outside! I'll let you know if your motivating blog worked for me! LOL
