I made good decisions at the conference today

Thursday, April 29, 2010

I spent the day at the Marriott attending a conference today. I (meaning my pallet) was not impressed with the breakfast buffet and really disappointed with the lunch buffet. But then I looked back at what I had eaten and was glad. The lack of fancy dishes and desserts actually helped me.

Here's a suggestion for me forever: only buy salad dressings that I don't like. When the only choice on the table/buffet is something you don't like, well, it's easy to by pass.

Unfortunately, I did cave to the half and half for coffee. There was no alternative and I just can't drink coffee black. Maybe the two cups of herbal tea offset it.

I sure didn't work any of it off sitting in the conference or during the hour drive there or the hour drive back. Unless you count stress while driving in Houston traffic as exercise. I did clutch the steering wheel super tightly! And my fanny made new impressions on the seat.

Thank goodness for my Westie. Jolie and I took a two-mile walk before dinner and worked out all of the stress.

High Five!!! You did great; I wouldn't worry about the half and half - I love it too...and the nutrition really isn't that bad - totally worth it :)

i'm glad you made it thru it all-- even the terrible food. it would be nice to pass up all the bad foods if the only choice we had was something we didn't like !! it's a good thing you have jolie to help walk your stress off with. there's nothing like a westie to help make your day brighter !!
