The reluctant sisters

Tuesday, May 25, 2010

So, I talked my sisters into going to Weight Watchers with me last week and they went and enjoyed and went back this week. And...lo and behold, they were the week's biggest losers! My one sister lost a whopping 9.3 and the other one lost 7.6. Can I just say "WOW"? I was a little jealous, I only lost 3.6 (which I am still very happy with.) Mostly, I was proud! They were reluctant to go but went, did the program and look at them go! All I can say, is that I hope that they keep it up. Our gene pool is like a sess pool with bad genetics and they struggle with their health. The one sister has COPD, asthma, early emphesyma and smokes. The other sister has high blood pressure, fibromyalgia and smokes. They need this as much as I do and I don't mind saying that I need them to be around for as long as they can.

Feel great that you've helped your reluctant sisters try something that will improve their health - truly an act of love. It's great they also had nice numbers the first week to encourage them to keep going. Your loss was super also. Good luck to all of you!

Good for you for getting them started, and good for them for putting in the effort. Try not to be discouraged, there will be weeks where it goes the other way around and 3.6 pounds is still awesome in one week!

    Keep up the good work.
