Letter of Intent

Dear Body,

I know it's been a rough 29 years, but I have committed to get you back in shape. It would be easy for me to just use all the past medical problems and pregnacy as an excuse for why I'm not in shape, but I refuse to go down that route. I know that heart problems and diabetes run strong on both sides of my family, but I refuse to say that I will get these. The only for me to make sure that this doesn't happen is to do the following:

1. I will take control of what foods I am eating and the portion size
2. Exercise at least 30 minutes 5 to 6 times a week
3. Track all of the food that I eat
4. Drink at least 64 oz of water a day
5. Get a yearly check-up for my body and teeth
6. Take my vitamin everyday
7. Spend an hour a day to myself
8. Do a body and/or facial scrub once a week
9. Take off 120 lbs

I am looking forward to the new you and promise that once I get the weight off, I will make sure to keep it off.

    Together we can accomplish any goals we set. I know you can do this Dannielle. I just spent a week on vacation eatting things that would have looked better on the table then on me - and I gained back a few pounds - but I have already started tracking my food again and plan to work out in the yard getting my garden in order. No crying over past mistakes! We can do this!

    I really like your list. I like that you are committing to taking YOU time while you work on your health goals. It is great that you list not only physical activities and eating changes but some pampering too. Cool. Taking care of ourselves is the most important thing we can do. Congrats!
