Haven't blogged or logged in too much time for a few weeks because I had my huge piano extravaganza concert Sunday. I go all out with everything I do so this recital is a huge effort and has always been a major success and encouragement for all my students and their families. I bought a new purple formal gown for the recital (posted a few pictures with my students so you can see the dress there) this year and everyone told me how gorgeous it was so that was a great start! There were a few new adorable little boys that played for their first recital yesterday so the audience loved them and all the seasoned performers played well like usual and a few played even better than ever. My grandson played a baritone euphonium solo while I accompanied him on the piano also (another new photo posted today). He played the best I ever heard him too and the finale was the Gershwin Concerto in F which was awesome and then the Appasionata Sonata by Beethoven. The students get guild certificates and lots of pictures and Federation gold cups and lots of pictures and scale trophies, graduate trophies, composition and theory awards and ribbons so everyone feels really proud of their year's accomplishments. Then we have refreshments and social hour and lots more pictures. Needless to say, today I am very exhillarated and have lots of energy to get caught up on all my spark postings which I have been keeping track of on paper! It's great to be back here and see what's going on with all my teams and now I have to buckle down and get more strenuous exercising going again (but I have been doing at least my minimum 10,000 steps every day)!
Hope you are having a great summer and staying spark strong!
Congratulations on another success! I wish we lived near each other so my kids could take lessons from you! I am sure the families appreciate what you do so much...now I am going to your photos to check out your gown... 4068 days ago
