France trip 2

(I call dibbs on this boat when it is up for sale!)
This is Grimaud, one of the many places where we walked and climbed.
Overall, there was more eating of starches and more wine drinking, but the walking seemed to have kept it in check! I had issues with ankle swelling, but it seemed travel related. When we got home I weighed myself and I was 3 lbs heavier than when we left, and my ankles were swollen. The next day I was down one pound and the ankles were back to normal. On the third day home, I weighed myself after breakfast -- an impulsive check in-- and my weight was back to where it was when we left!
Now the task ahead is to cut down the carbs and keep the activity level up. We came home to Florida rain. And I came home with a desire to cook and bake!
I'm working on my focus to get out of the range that I've been in for months! My pre-trip exercise helped me go up the daily hill to our room. I was not complaining like so many others. But Florida is flat, and I have to create my own hills now (I use a step thing).
I notice that I didn't take many pictures of food, but I had my favorite pastries while there. Good coffee was elusive, but I got a couple. (The place where we were staying served instant coffee for breakfast--shudder--! Our schedule was too tight to go and get some on a daily basis)
Happy 4th of July and Independence Day!
