What is that hollow feeling?

I was absolutely FREAKING STARVING today.

Scrambled Eggs (1 whole egg 2 egg whites) with grilled salami and grapes for breakfast, coffee
(I've never grilled salami before, and never put anything like that in eggs. Usually low fat feta cheese and grilled onions. Today I wanted something different and with 20/20 hindsight I realize I had started the march to starvation with a craving for salt.)

While I was walking I was planning lunch.

Came home, so hot I took off all my clothes while standing in the kitchen.
straight into the shower.
Light-headed from hunger and heat.

While I was having lunch, I was planning what to eat next.

Admittedly I've grazed on fruit (where in the past it would have been nutterbutters and tortilla chips)
But still...
and how I can still be under in calories I just don't know.
I know I forgot something, but I guess I forgot what I forgot....

and then I looked at the calendar and realized that my echoing belly had less to do with my lack of self control and more to do with PMS.
So, does knowing this help? Not so much.

I'm three pounds from goal and I'm not going to blow it and set myself back 3 pounds (read two or more weeks) because of DAMNED TOM!!

My stomach is growling, I'm absolutely starving and I'm going to bed.
I will NOT eat one bite of food.
I've had as much water as I can stand today.
I'm just going to win this battle the hard way.

On the bright side, I'm looking forward to trying the gluten free tapioca bread I bought at Whole Foods for breakfast tomorrow!

I haven't had any bread at all this week.
Never had GF bread before. This should be interesting.

I think eating when you are hungry is fine. And it sounds like all of your choices were good ones based on sounds logic under pressure.

Nothing wrong with that, hot stuff.

I think you are doing a great job. Great. Some days are tough but you handled it like a champ.

I read somewhere that our metabolism is slightly higher during out TOM, which might explain part of the increase in appetite. I do think knowing helps, a little bit. At least we know the cravings will pass.

    Way to fight the urge!

    Remember--this, too, shall pass.

I get those feelings every month but, unlike you, I always give in to them. I admire your strength and resolve. That kind of behaviour will get you to goal for sure.

I hope today dawns brighter for you and the Hunger Monster has taken the hint and taken a hike!
