Laying Aside Every Weight

Those of you who have seen past episodes of the Biggest Loser may remember the challenges when contestants, after they had lost a certain amount of weight, have to carry an equivalent of that weight from one point to another so they can get a real sense of the struggle their bodies endured. Well today I had to ship four packets totaling almost 18lbs. Before getting them ready I got cold and had to put my jacket on (air conditioning) after getting them ready the jacket came off (hot flashes) and even though I’ve been doing some strength training carrying those packaged elevated my heart rate, strained my breathing and like already mentioned brought on the flashes.
It felt good to put those packages down and leave them there. It gave me a true understanding of what my body must have went through and why things were wacky on the inside before. But today I’m free. Hallelujah!
