My plan is to get in at least 60 minutes of cardio each day (afternoon) though two of those days maybe will add a little extra for 1/2 marathon training.
Every other day I do strength training. I'm now at a 5lb weight and wow can you feel the burn. One of these days I'll be strong enough to open a jar without hitting it at the bottom or banging the top.
After lifting that kind of weight I appreciate having that next day off.
I tried Pilates last Saturday but I didn't really like it. Not giving up I decided to try Leslie Sansone's version of Pilates and it's packed with several moves and I find her pace much easier to work with.
Tomorrow should be fun. I plan on going straight to church after work. On Tuesdays us ladies, my mom, as sister from my church (in the video blog) and I get in our workouts before Bible Class. My hope is to do at least 3 of Leslie's walking programs and even include the "Boosted Walking". My mom has already said she wants to join me early. It's a blast having walking buddies.
So why the afternoon workouts? Well this week I'm stepping up my
time. I thought 7 hours would be enough
. Lord's knows it's more than I was getting before, but it actually isn't enough but I don't want to miss my workouts so they've just been moved.
One of my favorite videos is Jessica Smith's Kickboxing. (A birthday gift last year) You get to 30 minutes so fast with the kicking and punching. Sometimes a get a bit tangled and off balance but I still have a sweating good time.
I can't end this blog without mentioned the best. My Spiritual Health has truly improved. With God's Holy Word I am seeing myself more and more and seeing just how much Jesus really loves me well us! His Word is so amazing and alive. I'll literally read something and it's taught or preached about.
Oh and through prayer too I am zooming in on the tongue. The Bible compares it too the steering wheel on a ship and a bit in a horse's mouth how both are used to control a powerful ship and make a horse go the way the rider chooses. So are our mouths. A small part of our body able to produce HUGE results that could help or well really hurt. Our words should not be sweet and then bitter. We should speak love, peace and blessings. I'm glad this was brought back to my remembrance and is continuously before me so that I can be perfected in this area too. Hallelujah!
