Where do I start?

Tuesday, August 17, 2010

I recently turned 49 and feel like I am on a merry go round that never stops. This past year has been a very hard one for me. I have had alot of health issues that medication doesn't seem to be helping at this time. I am so frustrated with myself , 3 years ago I lost over 100 pounds. I have now gained that plus a bit more back. I have a closet full of brand new clothes that are just sitting there. I am squeezing into the clothes I do have that still fit.

Both of my children will be getting married in 2011, two months apart. I want to look my best for their weddings. I am so proud of them both. I feel very blessed to be their mother.
My husband is very supportive of all that I do. He is there to lend a hand when I am not feeling well and encourage me when I need encouragement.

If you have any suggestions on where to start in my journey to a new life. I would love hearing from you.

Thank you all so much for the encouraging words. I have invited my niece and my best friend to join me at sparks. They are both wanting to lose weight too.

I truly appreciate you taking the time to send me a note. It's great to know others that have been there and are winning the battle or have won the battle. I have added each of you as friends .. thank you again... emoticon

I am in the same boat, the meds are not helping, and the pain keeps me from so very much.Even the CFS is wearing me down more this year. I am cleaning out the closet, getting rid of clothes I won't ever wear, or haven't worn in children and Dad and NewMom are my support team, and I am starting classes online to get a degree.I left my husband almost 2yrs ago so I feel life is just getting started! I feel like I am cheerleading myself just to get the fruits eaten, I have never been a fruit person LOL But I remember that "The journey of a thousand miles begins with just 1 step" and our steps have brought us here!! The site is huge and there are so many tools and a ton of wonderful people,so we know our journey is not alone. Hold you head up sweety and I wish you and yours all the best!

Oh - I am so sorry!!! I know all too well how difficult this must be for you!!! As to how to "plug" back in - well, find something small to start with and build on it. Whether it is the size plate you use or eating out less or a walk - pick something and give it your all. When you think of giving up - be your own best friend and encourage yourself!!! If ya would say it to your best friend then DON"T SAY IT TO YOURSELF!!!
Really, I do wish ya success!!!
Drop by anytime - I am currently set to private but I will invite ya to be a friend - read my story - God really saw me through
