Another trip to the ER

Monday, September 06, 2010

Here I go again to the ER. The pain in my leg is killing me and I have to walk with a cane. They took more X-rays..I just had x-rays done on the Aug.25th and this is what they found...
I broke the bursa ( a fluid pouch near the joint) in my hip..when I fell 2 weeks ago. So now I have Bursitis in my hip. I have to stay off my leg ..a lot of ice..Ibuprofen 800mg..muscle relaxers..and pain pills. O ya I have to walk with a cane for a good while. Well so much for my goal at the end of the month...I can still track my food..but just no exercises...
So just be careful when you walk your dog..this is how this all started.

Sorry to hear of your injury. I had to use a cane last summer due to an injury. But it will heal and then you get to be working out again.

Oh I am so sorry! I do know about those puppy dogs, mine tripped me on a walk and I injured my good knee. It was my fault though. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

I am so sorry for all you are dealing with.Thankyou for this reminder,I take my toy poodle for a walk everyday and he is stong and pulls and tugs all the time and our walking trail I go on is very uneven and up and not level,I now take a cane to help steady myself and just in case the monster neighbor dog tries to attack me and Curly again he will get a good wack with my cow theme cane. There are many excercises you can do using your upper body and can still do some things to work on your upper body fitness, make sure your doctor says you can do this first. If you look at the Disabilities team I Co-Lead on my front Spark page with a wheel chair on it,you don't have to join to read the information, only if you want to reply. Our dear team member INDYGIRL left some information for fitness ideas for those in wheel chairs or can't walk. It's on the General team forum and you have to click more topics and on that page will open and under topics it's the ninth one down and it's called for the mobility challenged.Best Wishes and prayers for a healing and more mobility.Have a peaceful restful labor Day! emoticon Diana emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
