I like green beans, but my significant other loves them. He loves them so much that he prefers to have them with EVERY meal. So when I cook for him, I pretty much know that his staple food is a must-have for a side item. The issue with this is that we're both trying to slim down, and while we enjoy the green beans(the way I cook them), we know that it's not the healthiest side. Therefore, I'm asking for your help, my SP peeps. Please include a more healthy recipe for tasty green beans that I could use. I appreciate your help!
Oh, and in case you were wondering how I cooked mine...I use some type of smoked meat(ex: ham hock, neckbone, turkey neck, etc), onion, bell pepper, butter, sea salt, black pepper, a little garlic powder(sometimes).
