Eating clean

I have found something that works for me to stay on track. Attitude toward foods plays a big role for me. You know I looked at cupcakes, fried chicken and fried fish as heavenly. Now that I've changed my eating habits I see those as "dirty foods." When I ate the dirty foods they weighed me down and I felt as if there was no happiness until I put the next piece of dirt in my mouth. The cycle continued until it blew me up like a balloon. Now when i eat the "clea foods I feel a sense of newness. That makes it much easier for me to make "clean" choices of food.

    It's amazing isn't it? But I believe this is how our Father intended it to be, unprocessed food. Yes, processed food has been dirtied by man adding stuff to it and then we put stuff in our bodies that isn't even food...sugar substitutes.

    I'm also amazed that even if I overeat my clean food, I may have a full feeling, but I don't feel stuffed, bloated and sick.

    I agree that we feel good when we are eating healthy but I wish the temptation for the "dirty foods" would go away. Blessings to you on your journey!

    I dont know if I would call those cupcakes, burgers and fries "dirty" but I will agree they are less desirable when you change the way you eat.

    I have noticed that since I started clean eating, the smell of fast food is putrid. I have had to learn to breathe through my mouth when passing a restaurant because it stinks.
