10 weeks until 1/1/11

I have yet to head outside to walk and yet to practice violin today. I'm tired. B vitamin shots might be helping a bit (my body doesn't respond like most people's do). I exercised hard on Friday and Saturday and got my muscles sore. I had a margherita at the Hispanic festival, and wanted to drink more later in the evening. I had a shot and then went walking. I told my husband, "do I know how to party or what?" Problem is, while I may have been working against myself, just like other things, like sugar, when you've been away from it for awhile, the impact is stronger. I'm wondering if it contributed to today's fatigue.
There's evidence of small progresses, including progress with the scale when I scale back on starches! I've been keeping up some sort of physical activity and taking breaks, which is a discipline for me as I tend to overdo it. There's 10 weeks to the New year, the first two weeks of my countdown have had more successes than pitfalls. This week I'll have to work on even more consistency! The week ends with a party, so I'm not sure what kind of moderation I'll employ, but I will plan for the calorie burn prior to it! I've got another challenge like that the very next week, and then again for Thanksgiving.
One nice thing is that the small changes accumulate over time, so even with some uneven experiences, I hope to make real headway. woo hooooooo!
