Did you feel it?

Friday, November 26, 2010

As I was putting the turkey away, I felt the old habit of nibbling at it surge up. I'm quite happy to say that I noticed it and did not act on it. The memory of an Iron Chef challenger who kept putting food into his mouth while he cooked came to mind (the results of the incidental calories was obvious). When I cook like that, I postpone breakfast and I don't really eat alot. So, why let it go at the end of the meal??? Nah, not any more.

My weight has been fluctuating up which is no surprise. Got in my first walk since being sick, and my weight actually went down a notch! I have a pie date with friends coming over to help eat up the pie today, but it's nice to feel fired up to exercise before they come!

I hope everyone enjoyed the day of Thanks . When my daughter asked my son why he came home (college break), he said, "for this" the Thanksgiving meal. Compliments from that boy are rare!

Now it's mindful consumption of leftovers and gradually increasing exercise. Anyone wanna join me?

    Wow! You did great.

I am just heating up turkey and stuffing for breakfast which is not ideal but I only brought one portion home so it will be limited.

Glad you had such a wonderful Thanksgiving especially the compliment from your son!

Hello there. I am GLAD you noticed your urge to nibble and chose not to do so. That is a huge step. I am guilty of doing this myself and I am becoming more aware of this as I track my food in the nutrition tracker. Every bite counts.

Cute I like the pie party to get rid of the leftover pie. LOL, Enjoy
