Another goal accomplished... and my review of the new class

I accomplished my goal of attending a new class at the gym.
I did the Centergy class last night. I took the class because ppl kept talking about how tough the class is, and how it totally transformed their bodies, etc, etc…
Well, I don’t know if I was just doing the moves wrong or I am in better shape than most of the ppl in the class but, I thought it was waaaay easy. It was a combo of yoga, pilates and tai chi. There were several balance moves that everyone was falling over and I was just standing still. The instructor came over to me after class (because I told her at the beginning this was my first time taking class) and said how impressed she was that I was able to do all the moves. I thought maybe I would feel the after shocks this morning and be sore…but, nope :( I did sleep really well, so, it WAS good at relaxing me! emoticon
So, it’s back to bootcamp and zumba tonight! Bring on the sweat and calorie burn! emoticon Yeah!

    Wow Karen - that is impressive that not only are you trying new things but that you are in such good shape. I have not been exercising much lately so I am certainly no expert. But I do feel like different types of exercise accomplish different things. This may not have brought on the sweat but maybe it stretched you or relaxed you. So - though not hard - it may be something to add to rotation.

    Also - so proud that you are adding something new. That is often very scary. I think that it is so affirming when you can get over that fear and attempt something. Good for you.

    I have been wanting to try Centergy, but as stupid as it sounds, I am kind of afraid. I really want to like yoga, but I've done a few videos and honestly can't stand it!
    It's awesome you accomplished your goal!! I need to follow your example and just go for it!

    Go for it! I like zumba too, but right now I am in a cardio class twice per week with no dancing moves. That is enough of that kind of exercise for this ole girl for a while yet. Anyway, keep up your great work!

    Hahaha,,, do you belong to Fitworks? There is a class called Centergy that sounds super familiar-- or I guess any gym who has Bodysystems? or whatever would have it, right?

    Umm, try Group Power-- that one is not all that easy.. well, unless you take it easy on yourself.

    I found Centergy to be easy, too- I suck at balance, but that didn't make the class right. I'd go for a yoga class in a real Yoga studio--those are usually the best IMHO.

    Way to go on starting new things... that's always super exciting!

    Oh-- I find that most of the time when people say something's hard, it turns out to be not as hard as we made it out in our head.

    Hey .. . don't be upset that the class was easy for you. That. Is. AWESOME. :) Take it as a fitness level indicator. It means you're ROCKIN OUT your workouts! So now you know that class is to be used when you need a light day. *grin* Also it means you get to start looking for things that challenge you. :) FUN!

    Way to mix up your workouts! Sometimes the benefits aren't noticeable at first...your body will thank you for the Centergy class...lol

    Have fun with bootcamp and zumba (I hate to sweat...lol)
