OK, it's taken me 3 years to find this "blogging" capability but it's a whole lot easier than changing my status all the time.
I've been doing an "IFit" workout for weightloss on my treadmill every other day plus extra running. It amounts to about 45 minutes of running 5-6MPH and 15 minutes of walking. I'm doing kettleball training on my "off running" days for cardio and strenghening. I'm having issues with my right elbow so have taken some time down from serious weights but I need to get that arm better so I can work on it. I'd never think my arms were my worst asset but they are!!! They look like my 5th grade teachers arms and we used to make fun of her when she'd write on the calkboard. PLEASE don't ever ask me to write on a chalkboard!!!
Sticking to my 6 pound per month weight loss goal for a minimum of another 20 pounds and will readdess it at that time. I NEED to stay on my workout schedule. I'm traveling quite a bit these next couple of months, so that will make it hard but I'll take workout clothes and shoes with me!

I have been STARVING since I got back from my holiday in Idaho. I hadn't changed anything in terms of my eating but I had kicked up my workouts pretty dramatically. I posted a message on the message board and got a GREAT detailed respose from Rachel. I found I had not changed my goals to reflect what I was really doing on my workouts, therefore I was eating about 500 calories too few each day. NO WONDER I lost 2.4 pounds last week! I'm now upping my calories. I really don't want my weight loss to be much more than 1 to 1.5 pounds a week. I've done that too often only to gain it back PLUS! Anyone who is starving out there, take a look at your goals again, reality and goals may not match! Don't starve! and THANKS Rachel!! emoticon

I woke up this morning realizing what the scale told you the other day! I'm soooo, excited for you. You've lost well over 20 pounds and you're losing it the RIGHT way! Even tho your finger hurt, didn't you feel sexy out there on the dance floor??? I'm guessing you were wearing green/teal??? LOL
I just finished my workout. I ate a peanut butter cookie that I baked. I had to TRY them you know. It was very yummy, now I'm satisfied and worked off those calories, so I'm feeling good. What I think we've both realized is just how much control we DO have. We eat something that isn't diet food, but we know how to adjust for it, so we aren't depriving ourselves. Have a great rest of the weekend! I just realized, this is a blog, not an email so sorry to any of you who read this and don't track my rantings to my niece.

Finger isn't healed enough yet to dance. I danced one song, and just about piddled myself.

OK, so today I did my 20 minute workout on my treadmill which is 16 minutes of running, 4 min of walking, then I ran for 10 more minutes. It felt the best it's felt. I think I'm getting back into running shape. I find at 6MPH I really wear down fast but at 5MPH and a few bursts up to 5.5, I do pretty well. My treadmill has issues on the incline, so I may have to have Mark check it out again. I like running at a 1-2% incline to make it feel more like running outside. I've eaten well this week and still had my glass of wine. :)
    Looking forward to the weekend!

Good for you! I think the holidays were really good for us and keeping on track and staying motivated. Traveling with workout clothes and shoes will make it easier to stay on track while traveling. I hope you stay at places that have really nice gyms. :)

I also got your thank you note in the mail today. Such a cute puppy! It made me miss Vince!
