What did I see?

Monday, January 10, 2011

On Friday, January 7, 2011... I asked a simple question in my blog...What did you see?... wondering if there was a particular thing you saw that made you change! A few of you were kind and shared...some of you shared with me privately...and I know SOME OF YOU...pondered...remembered...
and responded to yourself!

I promised I would share mine...and now the time as come!

Many of you know...I occasionally am featured on a little reality show on TLC called, "Toddlers and Tiara's"!...Don't Judge! Yes...moms are occasionally psycho...yes...SOME kids are misbehaved...and NO...I am not necessarily a FAN of the 3 year old looking 18...but...I am GOOD at what I DO!

On April 10, 2010...I shot an episode in Oklahoma City. It was pretty typical...I was a little off that day...but thought I was looking GREAT!

After the pageant...when I went to do the cut ins...the producers were watching some of the footage and asked what pageant they were watching. When they all turned and laughed...about 8 people in the room...all laughing...I was FILLED with FEAR! I realized that the FUNNY FAT GUY they were watching...WAS ME! house has REALLY GOOD MIRRORS...because I had NO IDEA!

Forward 5 days...I decided I was READY for a change! Jerome Merlau gets me started on some "journey" and forward 8 months to today...70 pounds lighter...MUCH healthier...with work I have only BEGUN to do...and get the idea!

So this Wednesday evening, you, me, and the WORLD will see B.S. Todd...(Before Spark Todd) and you will see the guy many of you have come to know! I am GRATEFUL for a National Reminder of how I NEVER want to look or feel AGAIN!

(note: after much begging to the will not see MUCH of me in the was VERY hard for me to watch. Funny how that worked out!)

I watched it and I thought you did a great job of "hosting". And YES ABSOLUTELY I can see how far you have come. You look amazing Todd.

I am not a fan of the show but I watched the entire episode when I saw your name.

Ahhh, there is nothing like a camera or video-(ok, or a tv show to make you see the painful truth.
Can't wait to see the show!!

Todd - my friend - your openness and honesty are unmatched by any! As long as I have known you, YES, I remember Todd James BEFORE SPARK, I've not seen TNT. I have my DVR set, but only because I want to say I've seen you on TV, LOL.

I've told you, with a personality as large as yours is, most of use never saw the weight you carried. Notice I said carried, because I know you will never carry that again my friend! I remember the first time we met, I hadn't know been in the room for 5 minutes and you were already cracking jokes and we were laughing like life long friends, by the end of the day, I knew we would be friends for a very long time.

I'm proud of you my friend, you have walked away 70 pounds...WALKED away forever, that's incredible! So here's to a happier and healthier Todd James emoticon

Hmmm...I've watched that TLC show "BIKT" (before I knew Todd) and wasn't sure whether I was amused or irritated by some of the kids' antics (and for that matter, some of the parents)!

Then "AIKT" (after I knew Todd), I watched again and never saw Todd! So now I get to see Todd "in action"??? HOW COOL IS THAT? I'll set my DVR just in case my tv is knocked out by the ugly snow storm they're calling for here.

Whatever your reason is for losing weight and aiming for a healthier lifestyle is the best reason...even though the circumstances are often times not the happiest.

THANKS FOR SHARING TODD! Everyone here is so proud of you!

I'm excited to see you on the show!! It's a fun show to watch, especially with lil' Pistol Mackenzie!!! Being a former neurotic hockeymom myself, I can almost identify with these parents! I said almost!!! I would probably have a hockey stick as an appendage if I pushed too hard....
Todd, you are such a hoot on here and so honest and open. Most of all you are an inspiration!!!
