The Power of Protein

Monday, January 17, 2011

I always knew protein was important but lately I've become super aware of how powerful protein really is. Since having my surgery I've concentrated on nothing but protein. It's filling, tastes good and I feel really good when eating it. When eating very low protein items I don't seem as satisfied. It's almost not worth the space it takes up in my stomach. Go figure!

I've found myself craving high protein items. Been eating a lot of fish (tuna, talapia) and buffalo, chicken and eggs. Along with fresh steamed veggies and whole grains. The saying that you are what you eat is so true! I haven't felt good like this in a while. I love the way I feel and just wanted to share.
