All the awesome stuff I have the time and motivation to do now!

Because of lots of life changes, I have more free time and less stress, and I'm putting this time in my life to good use! I hate feeling like I've wasted days, weeks, and whole months to just thinking about doing stuff.

It feels SO GOOD to be actually DOING positive things, such as: (fair warning - I just read the title of this blog and realized anyone reading this is probably expecting a list of mountains I'm climbing or something. Prepare to be disappointed.)

Spending time on SP - such a welcoming presence in my life & tons of great info
Reading The Spark and lots of other great books ( I haven't been able to focus enough
to read a comic strip for years)
Taking ZUMBA, strength classes and Pilates at the Y with my mom, my daughter and
a friend (social life!!!)
Doing exercise videos at home - I've never done that before and I'm finding that it's a
great way to get motivated to do an extra 10, 20 minutes in the evening to keep up
the momentum.
Eating really well - hello return of mental health (I have to eat really well or I get
in a huge funk)
Learning Latin - regardless of the fact that everyone I know thinks its a gigantic waste
of my time and keeps suggesting I learn French or something useful.
Having the time to clean my house. Notice I said having the time, which is a little
different than actually doing. Turns out this is just as un-fun whether you have
the time or not. At least it's getting (physically) easier since I'm more fit and
a little smaller.
Being more organized. Bills and paperwork get done on time - huge stress relief.
My filing is filed. My dogs are vetted. I hardly waste any food now, because I
I don't buy stuff and then forget to cook it.
Turning back into my more likable self. Please note I haven't actually polled the people
who who have to live with me. If they want me to be nice, they'd have to agree
with me anyway.

The only things I'm not doing so well at is getting sleep and using this extra time to cook. I d on't know why - I'm really good at sleeping and really like cooking.

Speaking of not sleeping, it's 1:43 am. G'nite.

I don't know you, but I think learning Latin is AWESOME! I studied it for four years in high school (about M years ago, lol).

Whether it's "practical" or not is beside the point. If you enjoy it, it's great. Plus, learning a language is excellent brain exercise. (NB. Yes, I do have degrees in language and teaching language.)

    Veni vidi vici, et cetera!
