Well, I guess it has been long enough since my last blog. I guess since I updated my information it would be fun to get to brag a little bit. I found out in July that I am pre-diabetic and my doctor put me on metformin. Since then, without changing anything but a few of my eating habits, I have lost 45 lbs and still going. I am very excited. I feel if I can just get my back to cooperate long enough to actually exercise a decent amount of time, I may be able to drop it even quicker. My Doctor says that if I lose another 20 lbs in the next 6 months I should have my diabetes under control. Now, the most important part of this whole blog? Isn't God good? I know that if it werent for God, I would not have been able to lose even the first lbs. So lets all give God a hand and give Him the glory!
Amen!
God bless all of you
Jamie

Between school and work and everything else I really hadn't realized how much I had lost, I just knew that I had to buy that (as seen on tv) extra button thing and use it on 2 pairs of pants :P

About 5 years ago they prescribed me metformin as a weight loss medicine, so its possible they might give it to you anyways.

Now why hadn't you shared this already (especially with your co-leader? lol) I'm so happy for you!

At one point, my doc put me on metformin to see if it would help me lose - & it did! I lost a good amount, & kept losing for a while after going off it, & maintained it for a couple of years - but then stress got to me, & it all came piling back on..... But since I'm not diabetic, I've hesitated to ask for it now - I'm also pre-diabetic, but not too close to actual diabetes. Maybe it's time to ask again, huh?

Keep up the good work, my sister, & be blessed!

    Love,

    Keroly

He is the Healer of all time only if we do our part. I have to remind myself of that daily.
