My vision for the future of me

We'll I'd made my goals prior to reading Chapter 1, but I learned in reading the chapter that I really need to have a broader vision to help me stick with my shorter term goals. So... I want to be a functional older adult still able to enjoy some of the physical outdoor things we enjoyed when we were younger. We haven't had a lot to time to do the things we liked to do cause we've been busy raising kids and making a living. Now that we will have more time and less financial stress we'd like to get back to some recreational hobbies. We are starting to notice that we are getting heavier, weaker and stiffer, have less energy and endurance. I want to reverse that. We hope to buy a few acres and have a small self-sustaining farm, little personal vineyard and a big barn/woodshop for my husband. I want to get better at fly-fishing. I can't do all that if I don't reverse some of the damage that's occurred from a sedentary, stressful middle age set of years. I'd better start now. I have always been a generally healthy eater, but have not enjoyed exercise. I've always had standards for myself that were unrealistic. I am learning that there are little ways that I can exercise that are better than not doing anything. I would like to begin logging my exercise and short term goal will be a minimum of 15 minutes per day. I would like to have a mid range goal of getting up to 45 minutes to one hour per day in the next year or so. I need to loose 50 to 80 lbs that I gained due to undiagnosed Hypothyroidism. Now that that is being treated I need to work hard at loosing the weight that has been difficult to get off. It's gonna take more than what I've been doing. I will use the SP logs to monitor my exercise and food intake. I have never been a journaler but I like how easy it is to log on and do this. I've been using the SP.com site for about two weeks not and it feels doable.
