First Week On WW And The Start Of 5% Challenge

Well today marks my first week on WW. I ended up gaining as a result of not drinking enough water. I was doing so good, but for some reason I ended up gaining 5 pounds between wednesday and thursday. Instead of drinking more water, I ended up drinking less. So my goal for this week is drink my water. I am not dwelling on the gain as I knew why before going so it really is not going to get me down. The good thing about being on WW for me is that it has inspired me to make my food more often and helps me to stay aware of what I am eating. I can get all my points and still be hungry if I don't choose the foods that are filling and nutritious. I have also been better with not eating out as much and I have been able to avoid treats at the store. I am seeing small changes that will in the end help me to get to where I need to be.

The 5% Challenge officially started today (go Cloverleafs emoticon). One of the things that I would like to do is work on losing my 5% of weight by the end of the challenge, which is April 16, as I will be running a 5K that day. I feel that I will meet that goal as I have something to work towards accomplishing.

    Way to go for staying positive! That in itself is a win win. We have to remember...this is for LIFE, and we will mess up for the rest of our lives, but we can't stop the LIFESTYLE. EVER. So stick with it and eventually you'll be where you want to be. This is forever! :)

    Between WW and SparkPeople, you have a winning combination. You are so right about the power of drinking the water and choosing more filling, nutritious foods. Those are key factors. With the new WW program, I definitely find myself eating way more veggies than ever before - and liking it! Congratulations on making such great choices - you are off and running!

    Good Luck with WW and this challenge! Love seeing that you are training for a 5k! I wish I had a local 5k race to train for. I wanted a commitment to signing up for a race and my only options were 10k and 21k! So I am training for the 10k and enjoying every minute of it.

    It is good to see you staying positive, and NOT giving up. This is for the long haul, and one weigh in will not make a difference. Keep making those good food choices! You can do this!
