Another Rotten Week..Going to the Electric Chair??!!!

Thursday, March 03, 2011

I feel drained. The stress at my job is getting to me. I exercise for at least 30 minutes most mornings, but after work, all best are off, and I eat like I'm going to the electric chair!

I am not dealing with the added stress on my job very well. I mentioned in a previous post that due to budget issues, family medical leave, retirement and on and on, my boss and I are doing the job that was previously done by 5 people, and of course, I get all of the technical, legal aka "crappy" tasks to handel.

If I wasn't 6 years away from retirement and the job market was better, I'd be looking for a new job right now! I am so exhausted. It's a good thing that there is one more week until Spring Break.

I am sorry for venting. I know that I must adjust my attitude. I think I need to see my job as a means to an end...earning an income and future retirement benefit, and I must not focus on doing a "perfect" job, but rather do the best I can given the ridiculous circumstances and not let it kill me. emoticon emoticon

Vent all you want to, we're here to listen. You can only do your best and as much work as possible in a day. If it doesn't get all done maybe the bosses will see eye to eye about hiring some more worker bees.

maybe you should get a real "electric" chair, such as a shiatsu massaging recliner, or like myself, the massaging pad, you lay your back against it, and stress relief and relaxation, its something to reward yourself and look forward to at the end of a stressful day.

Venting is better than keeping it all bottled up inside and it's also a way to reduce some of the stress, that's what we're here for. I am so thankful to not be in the work force, we may not have a lot but we're happy and have enough. Hopefully you can find ways to destress more. Remember you are only one person and can only do so much. Take care of you.

    Hugs,

Sometimes venting really helps. Feel free to vent here whenever you need to. I hope things get better soon.

Sorry this is happening to you. It has to be stressful.
I don't understand why companies think it's ok to do this to people.
I wish I had some super advice for the stress eating but I also struggle with it at times.
Maybe just try and find something to keep your mind busy until the craving passes. And be sure to drink your water.

    Take care of yourself.
