Gratitude Blog 1

Sunday, March 06, 2011

I am grateful that I have an amazing and attentive husband who always thinks of me and always looks on the bright side.

My oldest daughter has completed her double degree in electrical engineering and chemistry and secured a Graduate position with Rio Tinto (she loves it )
Her partner of 4 yrs and her seemed to be getting stronger with each new challenge. They are very happy.

My youngest daughter has started 3 rd year occupational theraphy and has thrown herself into study. She has decided to apply to do some of her practical internship overseas as this will enhance her experience and expertise. Her and her bf are also going strong. She works in a high care dementia centre and loves it.

My dog Tigerlilly is here to help me recuperate.

I have this time to think and plan for the next 10 yrs so we can become more financially independent.

We are lucky to have a very close family unit and my husband's parents, who live close so we are able to catch up with them often.

We both have our health and sense of humour so this will help us to grow old together and do all the things we want to in the next 20-to 30 years.

We have great friends who are there to support us, I did not realise how many until I had leg surgery and everyone was wishing me well.

I discovered spark in 2010 and that has helped me deal with many issues i had regarding my weight and my attitude to excess weight has changed from losing weight to increasing my health and well being, and I have gained so many friends in the process thanks SPARKERS!

We live in Australia which is a beautiful amazing country, i love to travel but its great to come home. emoticon emoticon

ahhhh...that attitude of gratitude makes everything better and it also makes for a happier day. It has actually been proven that people's "set point" of happiness increases when they take time out each day to articulate gratitudes. What that means is that their normal state gets happier...Here's to a happier 2011 for both of us!!
