For those of you who have been asking, here's the final performance of this year's basketball season for Seniorgee. We danced Saturday night, 4/2. Bucks won in overtime. How sweet it was!
Since I have a show biz bug up my butt, it usually takes a day or two for the "high" to wear off. I was still doing the chicken strut walk all around my house, as late as Sunday evening. My husband, trying to get through to me that the performance was over, said "Baby, you don't have to do that any more", to which I replied, "Sorry, that may just be the way I WALK now."
My SparkFriend CAZ5346 sent me a virtual pair of wings, in case my arms were getting tired, which they were.
Click here, to see the performance. The first song, Right Said Fred's "I'm Too Sexy" can't be heard for some reason. (You'll have to sing it in your head while we dance.) The second song, Sugababe's "Get Sexy" , CAN be heard (so you can rest your voice during that one.)
Be sure to click on the little box on the lower right area of the youtube video, to bring it up to "full screen". It's a lot more interesting to watch that way.
My jersey, as many of you know, says "Bsue 69". The numbers on the jerseys represent our ages. You'll be able to spot me fairly easily, starting out on the right side and ending in the center. The coach told us to exaggerate the strut, and we followed her advice.
My SparkFriend INDIGO66 met me for lunch today at Panera's near Bay Shore Mall, in the Milwaukee area, and Seniorgee co-captain "Peggy 64" joined us. It was a love connection. We had a wonderful time and resisted the temptation to "disturb the peace" by dancing all around the restaurant. Self-control at its finest!
Tomorrow morning, I'm off to ballet class at Danceworks in downtown Milwaukee. Until I turned 60, I was one of those people who hated exercise. Times change and people change.
