Another Stressful Week

So much for restarting Power 90. Work is still pretty hectic, and I'm still putting in late hours. The lack of time has only been part of the reason for not getting back on P90. I've noticed that I cannot keep interested in the same workout for more than 30 days. So I think I've come up with a plan. I will switch my workouts every 30 days. I had been doing the elliptical for about a month when I started missing workouts. Then I started doing P90, and I just didn't "feel" like doing it this week. However, it doesn't mean I haven't worked out at all this week. I did Walk Away the Pounds on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday (I even used 3 lb weights on Thursday) and I did 50 minutes of yoga on Thursday. I'm actually sore which I have not felt since the day after I started P90. I will go back to P90 and complete the 90 days, but I think they will be in 30 day increments every other month.

The eating hasn't been the greatest either, but I did a quick weigh in this morning. I have neither gained nor lost, so we'll see what my official weigh in says on Sunday. I really need my schedule back to normal so I have time to plan and cook my meals. I'm also trying to stay away from chocolate candy. For the last two weeks I have been eating chocolate candy almost every day (except on weekends because I don't keep that stuff in the house). I bought Kellogg's FiberPlus bars in chocolate flavors hoping that would help, but so far no such luck. I have to really make an effort today. My goal today is to not eat any of the chocolate candy my co-workers put out on their desk.

I still haven't managed to get the BF to drink the kool-aid. I had hoped he would start showing some interest, but I guess it will take him a bit more time. I understand and will not push him because his work schedule is so much worse than mine, and he has a much more stressful job than I. He has done things to help me which may make it easier for him to get started. He helped me improve our exercise room. We have a media center in there now with better speakers than the TV. Since the media center is connected the internet we can stream workout videos we happen to find on YouTube or ExerciseTV.

Well, here's hoping the weekend puts me back on track.

    Mix it up, sounds like you got your workouts in, just not your program, make your program your own, its a differant walk for everyone of us and only we can decide what works for us. I'm rooting for ya.

    Workouts can easily get boring fast. I had to tough it out to finish the Power 90 series myself until my back injury made it impossible to finish. The Power 90 Master Series has more DVDs, oh, and if you have the bonus DVD with the original Power 90, check it out. It's more fun that 1-2 and 3-4 and it helps break up the monotony.

    I hope your BF comes around. I know when DH wasn't "ready", it was way more difficult. I'm glad he's being supportive of your efforts.

    Keep up the good work! It will pay off in the end!
