Yes-- I'm Publicly Streaking!

emoticonTIME to exercise has always been my downfall so last Wednesday I committed to exercise at least 20 minutes each day. I am STREAKING! (I love having the BLC encourage me to this 20-min-a-day exercise streak!)
I recognize one thing about this journey-- my success relies heavily on the power of consistency. More than anything else, I must BREAK bad habits and CREATE new "good" habits... and the most successful way I know is through small consistent actions over time.
Consistency can be helpful and motivating but when it takes the form of a STREAK, it can become a fun way to get my blood boiling again! Keeping a streak alive, even for a short time, is an instant power boost. I can easily become my own obstacle. I try to stick to a fitness plan, eliminate processed foods from my diet, and do the little things that make me a better friend or a better wife. Whatever my goal, there is always a time when I thought I couldn't do it when things get tough.

It's easier to find ways to justify my actions (EXCUSES) than to get over the hurdle. This week, my goal is to try to eliminate the hurdles and barriers I've created surrounding exercise. If I find myself saying, "I can't" or "I don't have time," then I will remember my "streak" goal and remind myself 20-minutes is "very little" time. If I really want to achieve it, then make the time or take a different approach (get up earlier, stay organized,etc).

I WILL find time for me and my goals. NO EXCUSES.

I am DETERMINED to get this weight off, I will do cardio dance anytime I am waiting on the microwave to heat something or any time I am "waiting"... I love burning the extra calories in those stolen moments! I call my moves:
• "Sweatin' to the Microwave" (my friend, Suzanne, came up with that one!)
• "Toothbrush Zumba"
• "Television Crazy Dance"
• "Curling Iron Crunches"...

    I will admit your title caught my attention although I didn't really believe that it was what some people may have thought it was. I just thought it was a cute title and therefore wanted to read your blog and it was a very good blog! Think I need to become a streaker, too, lol! I also love the little extra calorie burners, need to copy those down and remember them. Great job and thanks for the ideas! emoticon
