MORE RAIN!

Wednesday, April 27, 2011

Everything seems to be repeats. Flash floods/ rain/ thunder/ possible tornadoes! Although for awhile yesterday we did have sun! PTL!

Yesterday, Larry's older bro. stopped in for awhile. I added his and Larry's pic on my album. Gordon is almost 87 yrs. old.. A young looking one, I think!

I have been having issues with over eating. Whenever I 'feel' I am being held hostage in my home, I get depressed and overeat. Yesterday I wondered if there was any left-over Easter candy in the house. Then, I realized I had sent it all with others. So, do you know what I did? I stuffed myself on left-overs! I dread getting on the scales.

I hope I can get to the food bank this morning. I hestiate on getting out when it's pouring. I cannot move very fast.

Have a Blessed day.

You are not alone! I am tired of the endless gray cloudy rainy days too! (northern Illinois) The weatherman says it will be sunny on Friday here. I hope he's right I could really use some sunshine. Hang in there.

That is a bad feeling when you can't get out because of the constant rain. It does seem easier to overeat when you are cooped up. Try to find something else to occupy your time instead of eating.

I know what you mean about the constant rain and "held hostage". Luckily, on the West Coast we are not getting the flooding and tornadoes. I pray you stay safe.

Same here with the rainy days, thunderstorms. Did have a tornado watch for a while last night.

As for the overeating-- Yes, if the "junk food" we crave isn't there, our emotions will feast on anything! I know mine do!

Praying you hang on tight to God's hands through these down days!

    Hi Smidgon,
The eating is emotional. I hate feeling "imprisoned", too. I deal with it by taking a nap or reading or painting or cleaning out one junk drawer. Just keep out of the kitchen and the urge will pass. The weather is gruesome and has been all year. We are having the same:tornadoes, thunderstorms and pouring, dreary, flooding rains. I am really weather sensitive and you must be too. Have you ever investigated SAD: seasonal affective disorder? I feel better when I use my light every day during extended dreary weather periods. Feel better. Everything will be fine in the end - if not, it's not the end!

I had to look at your SP page to see if you lived in SW Missouri. We have been getting rain for days and the sun did shine for about 2 minutes yesterday before another storm came through. It is flooding all over, schools closed, lakes rising 1 inch an hour. AND it is not over yet. Sounds like 2008 all over again.

Dear Smidgon, All the best as you go out today. It has been raining ALOT here too. (upstate NY) Thunderstorms the last 2 days. More rain forcast today.

I know how discouraging it is when I overeat, eat to comfort myself. I encourage you to forgive yourself and move on, and hold on to peace.

    Take care, Lariesse
