I began a friend's training program 10 days ago... an 88 Day Transformation. I've been very diligent and documenting my progress.
He has been developing his program over the process of many years. I signed a non-disclosure contract and he is taking me "under his wing" determined for me to reach my goal weight (& in turn, have a great testimonial for his program.)
The exercise regime is quite simple, even a NYC Fireman who lost his lung capacity lost 90 lbs and is able to do his exercises... everything is about "timing."
On Day 7, I weighed-in @ a 5.2 lb loss... and I noticed how loose my exercise pants were (in January they were, as tight as sausage-casings on my legs.) So, I took my measurements... I lost -8.5 inches* the first week!
*Just so you know... I am large and have a lot to lose so I measure: neck, bust, waist, abdomen, hips, rt thigh, left thigh, rt knee, left knee, rt calf, left calf. Some areas, like in my waist & abdomen, I lost 2 inches; others I lost an inch (more or less) here & there... but everywhere I did lose! Nothing stayed the same.
Ironically, my GYN doctor said my thyroid is "normal" just a few months ago. However, this hormone doctor blood work showed I have problems with my thyroid and we are correcting it hormonally. YAY!
I'll continue to report my progress in this blog. HBO returns July 9 to film the "transformations" from the Mayor's Walk participants which is 74 days into my program... I plan to be a GREAT testimony both to Healthy Eating and Exercise... and, of course, my friend's 88-day program.
Because of my medical 'problems' (PCOS and, evidently thyroid)... the most I could've hoped to lose by their return was 10 lbs... I now have hope of a bigger transformation!
