Back from Sea World

Ok, so if I calculated the distance correctly, we walked a total of about 6 miles Saturday. Fast walking, stopping at the exhibits, middle-pace walking, etc. Carrying a bag, non-the-less! Phew, my legs are mad at me! lol
The girls loved the trip. Sea World has this great program for Girl Scouts to learn about sea animals and conservation, and best of all, get in the park! The weather cooperated for about 1/3 of the trip. Of course, it's Florida, so the rain kept coming and stopping. We eventually got to ride the rides, we saw the shows and ran inside the exhibits when it was rainy. We closed the place down! Too bad it only closes at seven, in the Spring, and back to ten in the summer. We definately could have stayed later!
The food, of course, was not health-food-fare. But, portion control by sharing my plates with one of my daughters helped out :)
So, my friend/Brownie Co-Leader did this plan through the "Doc WeightLoss" here in Jacksonville. Basically, you eat nothing but protein for a month, take appetite suppressants, B12 shots. I called them, they supposedly take your blood, do EKG, monitor you throughout the whole three-month program. He said that his wife was doing the same appetite suppressant, prescribed by her doctor, but didn't stop them after three months, like his nutritionist told him to do, to let your body "recover". You are supposed to stop for a month, and then if you need to lose more weight, you start another three month program. I don't know about this, but I do know that he's lost a hundred pounds in like four months, and has kept it off so far. He's changed his entire way of eating. Few carbs, and when he does eat carbs, they have to be "good" carbs. Cuts the fat off of everything, eats veges like there's no tomorrow, and exercises (something he hadn't done before). My husband really wants to start this program. I'm still leary, I need to do more research before I try this diet.
