Fitting Room Tip

Sunday, June 19, 2011

So...went to the store today and tried on some clothes.
As usual, it was not the most pleasant experience. I hate the mirrors and somehow I always look fatter there than at home. But, this time I grabbed some obnoxious clothes to try on just for giggles...no worries about fit.
Rompers...lol...something I KNOW I would never wear.

When I tried them on, I actually laughed at myself once I weaseled them up over my fat butt. They looked terrible, as I knew they would, but I was able to laugh at it instead of feeling like crying.

New plan when trying out clothes- always grab something ridiculous to start the show. At least then it can be kind of fun.

I like trying on "crazy" clothes--ones I would never buy! The funny thing is that once in awhile I actually like one of the items I tried on.

I love this tip!! It's fun even if you go shopping with someone else. I always try to try on something I would never wear, just because sometimes you can be surprised . . . Sounds like you had a great time!!

I love it! I did this the other day when I was swimsuit shopping. I grabbed an old lady suit which was actually really adorable, but it was totally a romper (never seen a one piece with shorts on the bottom!) and the elastic waist was too high so I had that old lady bottom belly bulge thing going on. Except for that minor flaw, the suit looked pretty good! I laughed at it and then put on a suit that fit well with no belly bulge created :)
