Took a month off but ready to be back...

Wednesday, July 06, 2011

Well, I am not happy about dropping out, so to speak. I just had a series of unfortunate events and my old habits of eating to feel better/dull the pain resurfaced. (Unfortunately the good feelings never lasted past the last bite). So, I am trying to get back on track now.

Recently, my daughter's girl scout troop decided to have a mother/daughter challenge to see who could lose the most weight. The prize is a pedicure. I joined the challenge but hadn't done anything about working on it until now. I am glad they've taken this healthy step and it really came at a good time for my personal journey.

I have started tracking my food again and I am recommitted to being healthy. This is definitely a life changing journey and I can't expect to never have detours or bumpy roads but I'll eventually make it to my destination if I just keep going.

Good for you for starting over. Understand that the commitment must get from your head to your heart and then pour out into DAILY ACTIONS. Excercise 10 minutes a day minimum to keep momentum....lthough you need more excercise than that, you have to start somewhere.

Best of luck to you emoticon
