Old War Wounds...

Saturday, July 09, 2011

Well, I've been watching my diet for a little more than a month now. I'm not losing the weight as quickly as hoped. I know the main reason, it's lack of exercise. I am having a very hard time doing my exercises, throw some sadness and self-pity in there too. With an old knee injury (and neck!) that gives me a lot of grief, needing a cane for support, I have considerable trouble with walking and day-to-day tasks. Okay, but all is not lost, I can ride my comfort bike and water-run then, here comes the excuses. (depression, pain, yes, it's legit) I know I need to make a shift, if only in baby-steps because there are times when I could exercise and I choose not to out of habit. So, I am going to gently but firmly make an effort to push myself out of my comfort zone when it is self-pity not pain, stopping me from moving. emoticon

Sweetheart, there is so much I don't know about you. I am sorry that you are living with chronic pain and have difficulty walking. I suggest you start off slow--but do something everyday. Slowly it will get easier and part of your routine. I am here always to support you.
    Much love,

I also struggle with completing enough exercise since I put my back out almost 2 years ago. I do sympathize with you and understand how we have to find a form of exercise that works but does not injure us any further. Good luck as you search for that. emoticon
