Fast on, fast off! This is good news!!

So those last three pounds that took me up to 215 went on REALLY FAST!! I sort of developed an addiction to white chocolate covered pretzels, and ate them almost every day in very large quantities. If I went to the movies, those babies were stashed in my purse! If I had a late night sweet craving, which was often, I know the 24 hour Fry's food store that carries my favorite kind! (They make them in cherry, blueberry, raspberry and cinnamon.) So, only a few short days ago, I came back to spark and began tracking my calories again. (I must tell you, this is WAY easier than going on the super restrictive HCG diet, or trying to live forever without carbs of any kind!)
To make a long story slightly shorter... those three pounds came right off. Now, I'm not deluding myself into thinking they will all come off this fast. In fact, I'm not expecting to see any numbers below 200 for at least a month. But I'm okay with that. I have enough experience with this now to have realistic expectations.
I'm writing on my calendar every day that I exercise and making sure it's at least 3-4 days. I feel like a success when I meet that goal, no matter what the scale says right now.
I'm tracking my food on sparkpeople, and in order to feel full longer, I'm throwing as many veggies into my diet as possible. I went to the store today and bought a bazillion frozen veggies and fresh veggies, then went about chopping up all the fresh ones and putting them in baggies. (I simply MUST do this so if I go to reach for something to eat, it's not too daunting to make a salad or something.)
I'm reminding myself constantly that this way of eating is a CHOICE. I never say to myself anymore "I can't have that." I say to myself instead, "I don't want that because if I eat it, I won't feel very good."
I make sure to leave room in my daily intake for a small treat like some walnuts or a sugar free pudding cup... or both! And I've found that a smoothie with frozen strawberries and chocolate flavored protein powder tastes just as good as an icee, except fresher, and leaves me feeling wonderful.
So I'm realizing that the long 2 months that I spent eating everything I felt like did NOT wipe away my memory of how to do this eating healthy thing. Getting back on track is really not so hard, I see.
Thank goodness I'm finally learning my lessons!!! I'm so glad to be back!
