My Exciting NEWS!

Okay, maybe it's just exciting to me...

A little background - from 1977 to 1995 I was a professional author of 13 historical romances published by Ballantine Books. A lot of people have told me that they've kept my books all these years and continue to re-read them, which has always been a thrill for me. My name on those books was Cynthia Wright, and many of my novels were considered classics in the genre.

With the advent of e-books, I started working on getting the rights back to my novels - and when school was out this past May I began investigating how to transform my print books into e-books. It's been a lot of work, but the process has been exciting and rewarding, too. I hope to have them all "up" on Amazon (for Kindle) and Barnes & Noble (for Nook) within the next few months. Two are up now - CAROLINE & SILVER STORM - and two more will follow in August - TOUCH THE SUN & SPRING FIRES. These books were set in the 1780's in America, most just after the Revolutionary War - they are rich with history and lots of romance.

I've been editing the books to freshen them up, and it's been fun to have new covers made! I even get to set my own price, so I've made them very affordable.

If anyone is interested, you can check out my new website, which is still developing. The first four books are there, with links to the active Amazon & B&N listings. There are reviews there for Caroline & Silver Storm.

Here are the listings on Amazon if you'd like to check them out!

It's so exciting for me to realize that these novels, which I thought were part of my past, are being read and enjoyed all over again - not just by people who loved them in the past, but also by new readers who may not have been born when these were published! It's a brave new world in publishing and I'm so happy to be part of it...

I'm also excited to be home from vacation and back on Spark People. It felt great to spin the wheel and track my breakfast this morning!! I ate intuitively all week (and had lots of treats), didn't see a scale for 9 days, and was up just 1 pound this morning. Back to Liberation from Sugar and Refined Carbs!
