Wake up the fighter in YOU!

Everyone has their own set of struggles…
It’s what you do with those struggles that can make or break you!

I choose to be fighter and to make it!

For all of us … “our fight” will be uniquely ours.
Some may need to battle with a few unwanted pounds;
Others struggle with a lot of unwanted pounds…
Sometimes it is our personal family issues or
as in my case…my health.

I am just starting out on this breast cancer battle but feel like I have already won.
Yes, I still need to start chemo and will need additional extensive surgeries but, my victory was in my spirit and the way I choose to fight this head on.
Yes…cancer I’m talking to you and Look out… cause I plan on stomping out every last cell of you!

We all need to wake up the inner fighter inside each of us!
Whatever our struggle may be…that inner warrior IS inside everyone and I plan on letting mine kick some cancer a$$! emoticon

Will it be easy? No way!
Will it be fun? Not at all!
Will I get through this? Damn straight!
Will I come out on the other side stronger? Yep!

I’m a very easy going person and historically would just agree with physicians and do whatever they say is best. This cancer has really woken up this crazy fighter with a bit of an attitude (haha) and I NOW find myself questioning and countering my docs. I am a very informed, educated patient and will fight for myself to get the BEST outcome with this!

I have the most incredible support system of family, friends, neighbors, faith and of course spark friends! I feel so surrounded with love, support and prayers and with that personal “army”…
I’m ready for battle!! emoticon emoticon

    Hey Girlfriend,

I know this blog is old and I may have even commented on it way back when, but I needed the "re-read".

I re-focusing for my own health and finding this high blood pressure to be a real stressor! Ha Ha. Considering that medically there is nothing else wrong with me, it's just stress! Go Figure!

Unplugging is harder than I thought! Thanks for the pep talk. I really needed to find my inner fighter again.

Hello! I recently rejoined spark people. I'm currently battling hypothyroid. It may not be cancer but at times it can make me feel so powerless and my mood swings can be such a bummer...not to mention hard to lose weight. But I decided to get back on here and try again and find the support I need from people who understand what I'm going through.Thank you for your post! It's encouraging that we do have the will to fight..more so with faith on our side!

There's always a good thing come out from a bad thing, we just need to be patient, be more stronger and never give up (or like in Justin B's song, NEVER SAY NEVER!)

Way to go, I hope you will continuously be a strong fighter!

and work with your physicians for the best outcomes.
I had ovarian cancer and have been symptom free (with great blood test results since Jan 2008) - life is fabulous!

Just to let you know that you CAN DO IT - I have fought bc 4 times so far, and since the type I have is pretty aggressive, I'm pleased that so far I beat it each time.

I treat it just like any other decease you might encounter - like flu - it can kill you I guess, but if you take your medicine (and eat healthly) it probably won't.

So good luck with your fight - I probably will be starting a new one soon since I think it has decided to make a visit again - have to go check with my onc - probably next Saturday.

Keep your spirits up and kick b*tt.
