1) Increase my stamina in the gym.
I’m currently doing ten minutes on the cross trainer, fifteen minutes on the bike, five minutes on the arm bike, twenty minutes on the treadmill and fifteen minutes on the stepper (65 minutes total). I want to increase this to fifteen/twenty minutes on the cross trainer, twenty minutes on the bike, ten minutes on the arm bike, twenty minutes on the treadmill and twenty minutes on the stepper (85/90 minutes). I know this is achievable.
2) Keep my house tidy.
This may sound silly, but my house has been a right mess lately and it makes my depression worse. I hate coming home to a messy house. I live on my own, so it shouldn’t be that hard to keep it tidy! I want to be able to have people come round, and not be embarrassed about inviting them in.
3) Do something sociable every week.
I need to stop sitting in so much, and start going out more. This doesn’t have to involve nights out and drinking, I can go the cinema, I can go sit in a friends house, I can meet a friend to walk our dogs together, I can go play miniature golf, the list is endless!
4) Sort through all my clothes (including the ones in my mums house) and get rid of those that don’t fit me/I won’t wear.
I need to be ruthless with this. There is no point keeping clothes that I ‘might’ wear or that I ‘might’ fit into again. I need to clear out my wardrobes, because then I can buy myself new clothes and actually have somewhere to put them!
5) Try a new recipe every week.
I’m getting stuck in a food rut, I live alone so there’s nothing stopping me trying anything I want to. This can be either a main course or a dessert. This can be just for myself or it can be something to share with my family or friends.
