A spark in the wind

Lately I've felt like a spark in the wind... but a spark is still a spark right?
I haven't blogged lately, just been so busy. Quick run down. Last weekend we stayed at our new place for the first time. We went fourwheeling all day, played some mini golf and even ate some ice cream (my biggest weakness). Over all it was a fun time. During the weekend we had to stop back home to go to my besties dads funeral. It was very nice. They had several speakers talk about him and his life and most stories were entertaining. That's the way it should be I think, remember the good times. I totally lost it though when my besties husband talked. He wrote a poem that was cute and funny but in the end his voice broke and tears came... I'm a total joiner, I see tears I cry too.
My husband and I talked about getting another dog and he said if we did he'd like a pup. This is something that scares the crap outta me! I LOVE animals, but I really like getting adults that people are giving up. Trained and through the puppy stage! I think because our dane that passed we got him after I don't think he had a great life. He was a very anxious dog and that probably played apart in his short life. My husband wants to get it as a pup so it will never have been abused and we won't deal with a lot of the issues that we dealt with. Especially with Danes since their lives tend to be shorter than other breeds anyway.
I found a breeder and it looks as if we will be picking one out next Saturday. I am so excited and anxious and I wake up at night thinking about it... here's a pic of one of the puppies out of the litter
It's a blue great dane. My husband didn't want one that looked like ours so blue is what we went with. I can't wait... I wish I could pick him up this weekend.
This weekend we are going camping with my folks. It should be a nice time.
I've decided that I need to get up early in the morning to get what I need done for myself. The last two days I've gotten up to get active and to take care of my horsey Jack.
That's about it. I hope everyone has a fantastic labor day weekend and does something fun! Be safe!
