Not the best day.

Got a call at work today from my husband who was at Walmart picking up something for me and my classroom.

He went in for 10 minutes, came out and his car was gone.
Yes, gone.

Took the cops 3 1/2 hours to get there so we could have a 2 minute conversation with them. They told us they usually recover the car, but don't always get the bad guy.
I just got my last summer paycheck, and was planning on buying baby room furniture. I have no idea how we are going to be able to afford all the things we need. Trying not to stress, we knew this was going to be hard....but geez does life have to kick us while we are trying to climb our way up to a happy place?

So sorry! It is always very tough to be a victim of crime, but when there is so much other stuff going on in your life, it is even harder! Try to take it easy as possible, for yourself and the baby. And try to look at the bright side...thank goodness no one in your family was hurt!

Sorry to hear about your car being stolen. This happened to my sister not once but twice last year right before Christmas. I have bought most of my furniture all second hand.. I reused my dresser from when I was kid. Sure helped with the bills.

I am so sorry to hear about your car, and that you are already having a hard time financially.

I just came across your blog today so I don't know your history.

Do you know if you are having a boy or a girl? I have 5 children and believe me if we had asked ourselves whether we could afford them or not we wouldn't have 5 incredible, easy to love people in my life ranging from ages 2 to 25!

I guess what I am trying to say as an encouragement is that it is easy to focus on whatever negative event is hitting us while we are down, but forget that were it not for the valleys, we would never fully appreciate the view from the mountaintop. I know that sounds like a pat answer, but trying placing your hands near your unborn baby and just close your eyes and breathe.

Imagine holding that little sweet one in your arms and know that your child will nver care what the baby room looks like. They will only care that you love them. Seriously, kids have slept in drawers! Love and attention is all they really need!

I hope things get better. Hang in there!
