Today I hit yet another milestone on my journey to healthy.
I was going to treat myself to a manicure.
I stopped at the bank to get some cash.
From the bank I walked to the nail salon.
For some, even most, this is no big deal.
For me it was a VERY big deal.
I made it an entire block without losing my breath AND without my back hurting! I even had some pep in my step!
A few months back I couldn't walk to my car without losing my breath and my back hurting.
I was thinking it was the smell of the Five Guys burger place, 2 stores down from the nail salon, that was pulling me along my journey to the nail salon.
The smell was phenomenal but not as sweet as feeling good and confident that I made it!
Last week I went to Citifield to watch the Mets play.
Two years ago was my last game. On that trip two years ago, when I was walking from our car to the stadium I had to stop every 10 ft because my back was in agony, i couldnt breathe and I was sweating profusely. From there we went to Fan Assistance and at the end of the game they brought me a wheelchair and I was escorted via wheelchair to my car. My life was not a full one and it hadn't been until I started SP in April.
I feel like I am getting my life back every day! Little triumphs have turned into big triumphs!
SP really does work and I will continue my new very doable healthy lifestyle with them and my newfound SP friends. They have been so supportive with me getting my butt off the couch. They are an integral part of the bridge I am building to newfound good health!
I could go on and on how my life had changed but it would be a book.
PS - Walking through the supermarket today my pants kept falling down because they are getting too loose. I am not complaining!
