Slow break!

I did my first 5k training walk/jog yesterday. It wasn't too bad! The chicago greyhound seemed to be very happy with the new pace, too! Today was the first time I haven't gotten any exercise in for over a week (had to go to work early, work late, then meet a friend afterwards). I am slated for my morning 1.2mile walk to the train tomorrow, though. Hopefully, I'll get to the gym for my second day of training.

In terms of my "slow breaks," I have started journaling my food intake this week! Today wasn't pretty, but I promised myself not to judge, just to record. Afterwards, I looked at my count and made mental notes of where I could have made small changes for improvement (or large changes, ahem, dessert).

In sum, we have:
Week one: At least 10 min of exercise most days of the week. (on track)
Week two: Walking to train station, when weather/schedule permits (on track)
Week three: Writing down everything I put in my mouth (on track for one day). :)
