Reboot Entry day 4

I know, these are my usual snazzy blog titles, but it's nice to not have to think creatively for a bit. Ha!

Yesterday was a good day. No more headache at all. I was developing one toward the end of the day, I think mostly from being simply tired. None of that yesterday. In fact, I ran yesterday.

I ran not because it was on the schedule, or I had to get in my miles/minutes. I ran simply for the pure joy of running. It was no great feat or effort - a simple 2.5 miles. Heck, I walked 2 miles at lunch, so this wasn't that much further. It was good though. Really good. I felt good as I trotted along. My legs and arms working, my heart pumping, my lungs carrying on in fine fashion. It was a good run. I'm going to run 1:1 intervals now, rather than 30:30. I know I'm strong enough, and have the pace enough to be able to do it sustainably. I'd like to hit next training season with a solid 1:1 interval, so I'll work on it now during my 'off season'.

Ok, that cracked me up. Like I have an off season. I suppose I do now, eh?

Saturday - 228.8
Sunday - 224.8
Monday - 223.0
Tuesday - 222.6
Wednesday - 222.8

So the thought crossed my mind.. what if I start up running again, and gain weight. Lo! Lookit the scale results this morning.

Yea yea, I know, it could be from any number of things. IS likely from any number of things. I'm not wiggin'. Not yet, anyway. My arms, shoulders, and abs are sore from my workout Monday night. That could explain the slight uptick. We'll see.

I have a big green smoothie for breakfast this morning, followed by a surprisingly tasty Fennel Pear juice. I expected it to taste a bit more green, or even licorice-y, but it's nice and light and yummy. Then for lunch I have a HUGE salad and leftover zucchini bake from last night. Afternoon snack? A crap-ton of veggies to dip in homemade mustard vinaigrette. My mouth and tummy are going to be very happy with the flavors and quality.

How are you? I admit, I'm not keeping up with blogs and my Friend Feed as much as I have in the past. That was part of what helped make me feel a little too frenetic for a while, so I've backed off some. If I've missed something I shouldn't have, poke me, yea?

    What's that I hear... some positivity creeping back into your blogs?? LOL! I can almost feel your enthusiasm jumping off the page. I'm so glad that your taking time to take care of you. It sounds like it's working well. Although, I hope you'll still listen to Irish and I. Just in case... right?

    Keep up what you're doing. It sounds tasty! "Crap-ton of veggies" LOL!

    It does sound like you're trying lots of new things, and that it's working for you. Fennel pear juice sounds really interesting! My lunch usually tends to be a big pile of veggies dipped in hummus, but maybe I'll look at some new dips, to get out of my hummus rut!

    Great to hear you are taking care of yourself! Doing what you want. What you need to do! Running because you want to, is a great accomplishment in itself! Just think of what all that healthy juice and veggies is doing to that body of yours!!! Not only for weight loss but it is your health you are taking care of! That is amazing! Keep on doing what your doing - FOR YOU!!!!

    I think you are doing awesome on your reboot - and remember, the scale can change for so many crazy ridiculous reasons (Salt, work out, sugar, because it feels like it... etc). Take it as a process, and don't always believe the silly number. HUGS.

    Way to go! You do know that weight can fluctuate a whole bunch from day to day, I'm sure, and that slight uptick is nothing to be concerned about at this point. Running just because it feels good, no pressure, no agenda, is a wonderful thing that we can forget to do along the way. Hope the reboot continues to go well for you; I have not been keeping up with blogs or friend feed nearly as much recently either, but I'm trying to get a little caught up on what's happening with people again.
