Reboot Entry days 7 and 8

A little bit of catch-up.

Weight:
Saturday - 221.4
Sunday - 220.2

I finished out Friday relatively well. Eating was on track, sticking to plan. I continued feeling achy, and that carried on through Saturday as well. It was enough that I finally broke down and took some acetaminophen last night before going to bed.

The meals are still tasty - 90% at least. I've found only a few things that haven't appealed, and have found a way to work around that.

In case anyone is thinking 'well of course she's losing lbs, she's only eating veggies' let me assure you, I'm not starving and I'm eating well.



Yes, my numbers are skewed, heavy on the carb side, and weak on protein. That'll balance out soon. I do wonder what will happen with my weight once I add back in proteins. I think I'm quite content to avoid grains for the most part. I do hope this release will be sustained once I'm done with the reboot and gradually add different things back in. Namely chicken. Oh, and cottage cheese. Those are the biggies. And maybe home made nut butter.

This isn't to say that I haven't considered deviating from the plan. Yesterday, after grocery shopping, I thought about swinging through Arby's and getting a Jamocha shake. One of my favorites that I have very rarely. It seemed like a good idea - a small reward for completing a whole week on the reboot. But.. wouldn't that reward defeat the whole purpose and point of the reboot? Geez! I passed.

No walk yesterday. I was just too cold, too tired, and too achy. Today I feel a bit better, so we're heading out to a holiday expo at the convention center later today.

Hope you all remembered to turn your clocks back an hour. Enjoy that extra sleep if you can!

    I'm not into fad diets that say not to eat protein. It helps repair your body's cells, which is especially useful when you're sick. So if you're going to deviate from their plan, have a little healthy protein. How long does this phase last? I'm not really sure what you're doing, but this sounds like something one of my other friends tried out. She got really sick, and had to stop. Anyway, good luck with everything!

    Good for you on passing on the shake... isn't it funny how we still think of "rewarding" ourselves? Just yesterday I was telling myself that I could have a candy bar (Halloween candy) because things are going so well...umm DUH...if they are going well, let's sabotage the whole thing shall we and start eating the crap? LOL I opted for grapes instead... frozen ones, and they were yummy!

    It appears your reboot is working well. Keep up the great work!
